What is my role at McCutcheon?
My role at McCutcheon is to work with students from pre-k through middle school in order to improve their communication skills in the academic setting. We target a variety of goals, ranging from articulation (producing speech sounds correctly), language (asking and answering questions, following directions, summarizing, vocabulary, etc.), social/pragmatic communication (following conversational rules, interacting with peers appropriately, etc.), and stuttering. I also evaluate students to determine whether they qualify for my services and regularly consult and collaborate with teachers to provide strategies to support communication in the classroom.

A Little Bit About Me!
I am originally from Florida, where I earned my B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Florida. I then moved to Chicago to earn my M.S. in Speech, Language, and Learning at Northwestern University, graduating in June 2020. I interned at McCutcheon during my school rotation and completed my clinical fellowship year in October 2021. I currently hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). School Year 2022-2023 is my third year working at McCutcheon. Outside of work, I love reading, drawing/painting, visiting museums and bookstores, and exploring the city!
